Update on super linebacker James Bryant

James Bryant is currently ranked the #6 linebacker prospect in the country by Insiders.com and he is also ranked the #34 prospect overall in the country per Insiders.com. PittInsiders had the chance to talk to James to get an update on his recruiting process.

James Bryant registered 132 tackles, 8 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, 5 fumble recoveries, and 3 interceptions as a junior last season. He will be the focus of an intense recruiting battle to land his services come next February.

I talked to James Bryant today to get an update on his recruiting process. He said the Pitt summer camp went "great" and that he talked to all of the Pitt coaches and he is "cool" with all of them. Despite all the rumors that he gave Pitt a verbal, he said he wants to wait awhile before making his final decision. He also said he is not going to any more camps this summer.

Bryant is very serious about his football. He works out twice a day and currently benches 405 and squats 540. Hs is really looking forward to his senior season. "We put the pads on August 11th and our first game is August 30th. I cant wait."

When asked what schools have officially offered him. He said, "Pitt, Iowa, Ohio State, North Carolina, Michigan, Michigan State, LSU, BC, Virginia, WVU, UConn, Temple and Rutgers."
