Garner Transferring To Pitt

On Tuesday, Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema announced that junior receiver Manasseh Garner would explore transfer options. Garner hs decided on the Panthers. He will sit out this year due to the transfer rule, and have two years left to play.

Sources close to Manesseh Garner have informed Panther Digest that the former Brashear standout has transferred back to his hometown school of Pittsburgh.Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema announced on Tuesday that Garner would explore transfer options. Garner, according to those close to him, has decided on the Panthers.

Garner appeared in 20 games in two seasons with the Badgers; ten games each as a freshman and sophomore. He came to Madison as the nation's No. 29 outside linebacker. He made in appearance in the 2011 Rose Bowl against TCU, and in last year's Rose Bowl loss to Oregon.

The same source also cited Garner's desire to be reunited with former position coach Joe Rudolph--who initially recruited Garner to Wisconsin. He will play at receiver for the Panthers, and is expected to begin practicing with the team next week.
