Bryan Kelly has interest in the Panthers

Bryan Kelly, a defensive end prospect from Bishop Carroll (PA), is considered a very solid high school player. The 6-foot-0, 253-pound run-stopper has interest in several schools, including Pittsburgh.

"Pittsburgh is my favorite team growing up," the all-state Pennsylvania native said. "I haven't heard from them yet. If Pitt does offer, I definitely would consider them. A couple of weeks ago I took a tour of their campus."

Some schools that are showing interest in Kelly are Youngstown State and John Hopkins.

What makes him the player that he is?

"Some people look at me and think that I'm small," he said. "I do not play like I'm small at all. People take notice of that. I also have quickness and explosiveness off the ball."

On the field Bryan Kelly is at the top of his game. Last year as a junior, he racked up 62 tackles, 12 tackles for a loss, and nine sacks.

Not only does he excel on the field but he also does very well in the classroom. Kelly carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average and has scored an impressive 1170 on the SAT.

Kelly has a maximum bench press of 290 pounds and a squat of 530. He has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 5.03 seconds.
