Jamie Dixon Previews 2012-13 Team

Jamie Dixon began his annual media day talk with a tribute to Beano Cook, who passed away Thursday. When it came to basketball, Dixon highlighted his team's depth, as well as where some of the injured players stand.

As for injuries, a lot has been made of the talk surrounding Travon Woodall and J.J. Moore. Jamie Dixon says both are as healthy as ever, and he will not hold either of them out for any precautionary reasons.

The more he talked about Moore, the more that came out about the junior taking on a new role this year at the four. Dixon comments that Moore has added to his upper body, and believes he'll be able to handle it.

Pitt obviously has a point guard in Travon Woodall with a pass-first mentality. He also talks about how Trey Zeigler, James Robinson and John Johnson have shown strengths as pass-first type of players. Some of the players, on media day, also commented on Chris Jones as a pass-first type of player as well.

Dixon also talks about five-star signee Steven Adams, and how he feels the seven-footer is just as capable of starting as Chris Taft and DeJuan Blair have done before him.
