Final Word: Paul Chryst

Pitt will look to end its second two-game winning streak of the season, as they take on Buffalo Saturday at 3:30 pm.

Paul Chryst is a little mum on naming his starting linebackers yet. Part of that is just waiting to see the status of Shane Gordon, who has been limited due to injury in his last two starts. That could lead to Dan Mason making his first start of the season. Joe Trebitz is also doubling up at two of the linebacker spots.

Chryst did officially rule Manny Williams out of Saturday's game, leaving the door wide open for Todd Thomas to make his first start of the season. Thomas returned to action two weeks ago against Syracuse. Chryst didn't officially call Thomas a starter, but did say it will be him and Nicholas Grigsby sharing time at the WILL position.
