Pitt attempted just six passes in the first half, completing two of them--both screen passes. As a result, Pitt led just 13-6 at the break, while Buffalo's offense gained momentum.
Once Pitt got the vertical passing game going, specifically a 23-yard completion from Tino Sunseri to Mike Shanahan, and later in the same third quarter drive, a 16-yarder to Shanahan. The end result was a seven-yard touchdown run that put the game out of reach.
Shanahan talks about how the offense adjusted through the course of Saturday's game, and what they'll be faced with against Temple this week.
