Kish Ready For Official Visits

Tight end recruit Michael Kish caught 8 passes and 150 yards and 2 touchdowns this season; also played both ways, helping Brentwood to a 7-4 record this season.

Michael Kish helped Brentwood to the WPIAL quarterfinals this past season. Even though he's been committed to Akron for awhile, and he remains committed, Kish may take an official visit to Pittsburgh before signing day.

Kish was at Pitt's 27-6 win over Rutgers on Saturday. He adds that Pitt linebackers coach Chris Haering has stayed in touch with him, throughout the season.

"I thought it was a pretty good game, they played pretty physical," Kish said. "I love their offense. If you're a tight end, how could you not love their offense?"

In the game, Pitt freshman tight end J.P. Holtz caught 3 passes for 45 yards, including a 28-yarder which was the longest pass play of the day. Sophomore Drew Carswell caught 3 passes for 22 yards.

Kish is still committed to Akron. In his conversations with Haering, he's been talking about coming down for an official visit, The Panthers have not offered yet.

"Coach Haering talks to me every week," Kish added. "We haven't talked about an offer yet, but we're trying to set up an official visit; possibly for January."

In the mean time, he is looking to pick which weekend he'll take his official visit to Akron.

"I haven't taken one yet, but we're trying to get that set too," Kish said.
