Haverford School (PA) standout Christian Giubilato camped at Pittsburgh over the weekend. He was a bit limited because he had five teeth pulled earlier in the week, but was still able to go through the testing.
"We ran our 40s, did the broad jump, did some things with footwork," Giubilato said. "I got to visit with my brother (Mark Giubilato) for a little bit, so that was good. I met a few of the coaches that were there, but I couldn't really do any of the one-on-ones."
"I'm there (at Pitt) all the time, so I know what there is to know," Giubilato added. "I just want the chance to come out and show what I can do."
Giubilato will also begin his summer conditioning with his team. As a junior last year, he rushed for 141 yards on offense with a touchdown. He also finished with a team-best 343 kickoff return yards (31.2 yards per return), with 31 tackles and one sack on defense--this all in six games, due to injury.
"We should be really good this year," Giubilato said. "We're really depending on our line. Me and Phil Poquie are back. We we're really spending time developing our line. Phil is an amazing athlete, and we have a lot of others who can play. We're just going to try and get at it as much as we can."
