Sterling Dailey put up big numbers as a junior for Stone Bridge.
Dailey, 5-10, 175, says he's comfortable at running back or receiver. Last year, he rushed for 1,666 yards on 200 carries, with 23 touchdowns. He averaged 8.6 yards a carry.
Even more impressive, the fact that the bulk of his yards came during his team's playoff stretch.
Pittsburgh was one of the first schools to take notice of his big season. The Panthers invited him up for junior day, and again for its prospect camp.
"I've been to junior day, so I've talked to the coaches quite often," Dailey said. "I've talked to (receivers) coach (Bobby) Engram and (director of personnel) Dann Kabala. They just told me to keep working hard."
Dailey ran a 4.41 time in his forty, which opened some eyes. It carried over to the one-on-ones.
"I think it was great, an all-around fun experience," Dailey said. "Pitt was the first school I camped at, it's Pitt and Syracuse. Those are my first options. I really like Pitt.
