A week ago, there was one commit for tis 2014 class.
Today, there are now six commits, after a wave of commits the last two days.
Bethel Park offensive lineman Michael Grimm committed to the Panthers on Wednesday. Pitt was the first school to offer him, as a junior. He joins Michigan offensive lineman Connor Hayes as the two offensive line commits. Combined with the five signees in the 2013 recruiting class, already Paul Chryst and his staff have improved depth on the offensive line.
Amara had offers from Pitt, Bowling Green, UMass and Central Florida. He came to Pitt on Saturday for a camp visit, where he was offered. It didn't take him very long to make the decision.
He joins former West Catholic teammate Jaryd Jones-Smith, who signed with the 2013 class.
Stay tuned for more on Grimm and Amara.
