Pitt Adds Another From Michigan

Avonte Maddox is the seventh verbal commit of Pitt's 2014 recruiting class, the sixth in the last five days. Maddox joins Connor Hayes as the other commit out of Michigan, and Luke Maclean who signed with Pitt in 2013.

Pittsburgh continues to build steam in Michigan, as they got a commitment from Detroit (MI) Martin Luther King High School.

Maddox informed Scout.com of his commitment on Wednesday afternoon, after Philadelphia (PA) West Catholic safety Patrick Amara and Bethel Park (PA) offensive lineman Michael Grimm also joined the Pitt fold on Wednesday.

Maddox chose Pitt over offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan and Toledo.

Maddox is rated a three-star prospect by Scout, the nation's No. 57 corner.
