Josh Newkirk was Pitt's leading scorer in Monday night's action, with 28 points.

With both teams playing with a thin roster--five players for UPMC, six players for GNC--UPMC picked up its second win in a row, 85-80.

All five players for UPMC, playing the full 44 minutes, finished in double-figures, led by Robert Morris' Lucky Jones with 28.

Both teams were roughly even in the shooting department--UPMC going 28-70 (40%) and GNC finishing 32-69 (46.4%). UPMC dominated on the glass, 48-32, sparked by Jones' 16 rebounds.

Duquesne's Derrick Colter led GNC with 30 points, while fellow Duke Darius Lewis led in rebounding with 13.

South Hills Audi 99 SPK Law 71
South Hills Audi took over the leader board in the standings with a dominant 99-71 win over SPK Law.

Nolan Cressler led the way with 28 points in the win. Former Pitt star Chevon Troutman, again, came up big with 18 points and nine rebounds. Tracy Foster led the South Hills Audi team with 10 rebounds, overall.

Another former Panther, John DeGroat, finished in double-figures with 12 points.

Despite the loss, SPK Law had four players in double-figures, led by Jones--playing in back-to-back games. Pitt's Mike Lecak finished with seven points.

Contributing heavily in the heavy victory margin, a 58-36 edge in rebounding by South Hills Audi.

The Lair 74 Oliverio's Peppers 70
The Lair held off Oliverio's Peppers for a 74-70 win, another close game in the final game of the evening.

Duquesne's Okie Soko led the way with 20 points and 15 rebounds.

In a losing effort, Pitt freshman Josh Newkirk finished with a summer-best 28 points on 12-23 (52.2%) shooting. Chris Jones added 14 points, in the loss.
