Pro-Am League: Tuesday Semifinals

Talib Zanna and James Robinson are hopefully laying the foundation for what could be a successful tandem for Pitt's first season in the ACC.

Wednesday night's championship game for the Pittsburgh Basketball Pro-Am League is set, following Tuesday night's semifinal games.

The Lair will take on PGT Trucking, Wednesday night at 7:15 pm.

The Lair 108 South Hills Audi 90
The Lair, playing all of seven players, knocked off top-seeded South Hills Audi.

Ovie Soko comes up big again, 27 points, 14 rebounds--a strong case for both all-league honors for the summer, and possibly league MVP based on his consistent play.

Five of the seven players for The Lair finished in double-figures. Jermaih Jones finished with 29 points, including a 5-7 performance from three-point range.

Chevon Troutman--the most consistent player for South Hills Audi this summer--finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds, in the loss.

If Pitt is going to have a winner on the championship team on Wednesday night, its hopes lie with PGT Trucking, following its 84-73 win over SPK Law.

Talib Zanna finished with 31 points and 17 rebounds, flanked by James Robinson, who added 15 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Elijah Thompson put forth another strong effort in the win, 18 points, nine rebounds.

It was an exciting summer to watch the Pitt freshmen in action, Jamel Artis led SPK with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Mike Young with 19 points and six rebounds.

Mike Lecak finished with eight points in the loss for SPK.
