Wade Freebeck completed 11 of 19 passes for 127 yards and a pair of touchdowns, lifting St. Thomas Aquinas to a 60-6 win over Northeast. The Raiders improve to 5-1 on the season.
Qadree Ollison rushed for 102 yards on 17 carries, with a touchdown, helping Canisius to a 24-0 win over Bishop Timon.
One of the top uncommitted prospects on the board, Dravon Henry, rushed for 175 yards, including a 97-yard touchdown run. Henry also caught a 49-yard touchdown pass and returned an interception 65 yards for a score. Teammate Terry Swanson rushed for 151 yards, including touchdown runs of 68, 25 and 12. Aliquippa defeated Elwood City 56-0, and will take on rival Beaver Falls this Friday.
Another, Gateway's Montae Nicholson, caught a pair of touchdown passes--from 57 yards out, and from a yard out--as Gateway held off Norwin 13-0. Gateway is 7-0.
Dennis Briggs rushed for a 22-yard go ahead touchdown as Shady Side Academy defeated Jeannette 28-21. The Indians are 7-0, looking to make a push for one of the top seeds in Class AA.
Another Pitt commit has his team unbeaten heading for a high playoff seed, and it's Riverheads' (VA) Michael Herndon. Herndon played just the first half, and one series into the second half, as his team built a 44-0 lead, on its way to a 51-6 win over Page County. Herndon played at multiple spots on the offensive line, where he helps pave the way for 350 yards of offense while he was in he he game. On defense, playing at defensive tackle and middle linebacker, Herndon finished with 12 tackles.
Pitt's most recent commit, JaQuan Davidson, threw for 105 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for a score. It wasn't enough, however, as Ringgold defeated Elizabeth Forward 52-36. The Warriors have clinched a playoff spot.
Jamil Kamara caught four passes for 110 yards and three touchdowns, helping Bishop Sullivan (VA) remain unbeaten at 8-0, in a 45-13 win over Greenbrier Christian. In eight games this season, Kamara has 44 receptions for for 890 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Detroit (MI) King clinched a perfect regular season, and a division crown, with a 52-12 win over Denby. Pitt commit Avonte Maddox caught five passes for 106 yards, including a 33-yard touchdown reception.
