Weekend Prospect Recap

Rasaan Stewart had a big a game of any prospect in the country over the weekend. Stewart accounted for six touchdowns in his team's 60-20 win on Friday.

Aliquippa is heading back to the WPIAL Class AA championship, after a 57-14 win over Beaver. Terry Swanson rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns. Dravon Henry rushed for touchdown runs of 9 and 38.

The Quips advance to take on South Fayette, 35-7 winners over Beaver Falls. Junior quarterback Brett Brumbaugh threw for 252 yards and two touchdowns, and also scored on a one-yard touchdown run.

The Class AAA championship will be a rematch between Central Valley and West Allegheny. The Indians recorded a 13-7 win over the Warriors back in September. Jordan Whitehead rushed for a touchdown in Central Valley's 23-13 win over Thomas Jefferson. Chayse Dillon rushed for 167 yards with two touchdown runs and a touchdown catch in West Allegheny's 21-12 win over Franklin Regional.

The Class A matchup will crown a new champion. Sto-Rox defeated defending champion Clairton 24-19. Lenny Williams threw for 114 yards, rushing for two scores, and returning an interception 42 yards for a score. Brendan Blair also scored on a five-yard touchdown run for the Vikings.

The Vikings advance to take on North Catholic, 27-14. Junior P.J. Fulmore--again, filling in at quarterback--rushed for 216 yards and four touchdowns, accounting for all four of the Trojans' touchdowns.

Pitt commit Qadree Ollison will be playing for a Monsignor Martin Athletic Association championship this Thursday at Orchard Park's (NY) Ralph Wilson stadium. Canisius defeated Bishop Timon St. Jude 30-0 on Thursday. Ollison rushed for 123 yards and three touchdown runs in his team's win.

Hilliard Davidson (OH) advanced in its postseason run with a 20-7 win over Pickerington North. Pitt commit Phillipie Motley caught two passes for 130 yards, both going for touchdowns. He added another 44 yards on the ground, on just six carries.

Perkiomen Valley (PA) advanced in its Quad-A quarterfinal matchup in a 60-20 win over Central Bucks West. Rasaan Stewart, a top Pitt target, was on fire. Stewart threw for 268 yards and four touchdowns, rushing for another 96 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown run. Stewart also returned a kickoff 84 yards for a score.

St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) rebounded from its loss to Deerfield Beach a week ago, in a 56-0 win over Miami Springs. Pitt commit Wade Freebeck completed 6-11 passes for 114 yards in the Raiders' win. They advance to take on Plantation in a regional semifinal.

Marion Local (OH) improved to 12-0, advancing in its District VII regional semifinal matchup with a 35-28 win over Covington. Pitt commit Adam Bertke threw for 199 yards and three touchdown passes in the win. He rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Detroit (MI) King also advanced in its playoff run, in a 6-0 win over Wyandotte (MI) Roosevelt. Avonte Maddox accounted for the game's lone touchdown on a 35-yard touchdown reception.

Last, and certainly not least, four-star receiver Jamil Kamara helped his Bishop Sullivan team to a 50-44 win over Potomac School, capping a perfect 12-0 season, his school's first-ever state championship. Kamara caught six passes for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Kamara caught a key 15-yard pass, that led to quarterback Blake LaRussa's game winning 15-yard touchdown run.
