"I talked to Coach (Matt) House from Pitt," Walker said. "They were supposed to come see me last week, but it was raining really hard, so they're going to come back again.
"Pittsburgh, I really like them a lot. Everything--the coaching staff--they're really cool. I know they're in need of DBs. When I visit on June 13, I'll know more about the school."
One other connection to Pitt, of sorts, is all-conference safety Jason Hendricks, a player Walker has followed. Walker will take an unofficial visit to Pitt next month, for one of their prospect camps. Even though he already has the Pitt offer, he will workout at the camp and visit the campus, as well.
"The safety from Pitt Jason Hendricks, he went to Hudson Catholic," Walker said. "I went there my freshman year. My coach always tells me how good he was."
Another school showing a lot of interest in Walker is Syracuse. He has visited the Orange, and plans on going there for a camp, as well.
"They've been in contact a lot," Walker said. "Coach (Bobby) Acosta, he's been recruiting me pretty good. They want me to come to camp in June. I talk to Coach Acosta almost every day.
"I went to the spring game. I like the school a lot. The coaching staff is down to earth. You can tell they're telling me the truth about everything. I got to talk to the defensive coordinator. He likes me a lot. I was up the with Daiquan Kelly, who has the same interest--Syracuse and Pittsburgh. I believe that's his top two."
Walker would like to set up some other camp visits. Cincinnati is a possibility, another school that has come to his high school. He would like to make a college decision before his senior year, to get his decision out of the way.
As a junior, Walker had 45 tackles and 12 pass breakups.
