Pitt Lands Florida RB

Paul Chryst lands a second commitment from Florida, reeling in Sekai Lindsey. Lindsey's commitment gives Pitt nine verbal commits for the 2015 class.

June is winding down, but Pittsburgh's 2015 recruiting class is not.

Paul Chryst added his ninth commit of the 2015 class, his sixth this month, as Melbourne (FL) Palm Bay running back Sekai Lindsey committed to Pitt.

"I've officially committed to the University of Pittsburg!! #H2P," Lindsey tweeted on Saturday.

Lindsey had long proclaimed Pitt as one of his favorites. He made things official Saturday. He had been recruited by defensive backs coach, and Florida native Troy Douglas, who continues to make an early impact in Pitt's recruiting efforts in The Sunshine State.

Earlier this month, Pitt landed Hallendale (FL) corner Malik Henderson.

With. Lindsey's commit, Pitt appears to be very solid in terms of skill positions for this class. Three weeks ago, the Panthers added Malvern Prep (PA) quarterback Alex Hornibrook. Just last week, after picking up a Pitt offer in camp, the Panthers got a quick commitment from local prospect Tre Tipton, a receiver.

The Panthers also got a nice addition in Delaware athlete Quadree Henderson--a pleasant surprise, who was considering a number of other schools including Boston College, out of the ACC. Henderson could fit as either a running back or a slot receiver.

Stay tuned for more on Lindsey's commitment to Pitt.
