Jackson Is A Panther

Amassing over 2,000 yards of total offense last year, Dane Jackson comes to Pitt as a corner. He is Pitt's tenth commitment of the 2015 recruiting class, its seventh this month.

Dane Jackson wasted little time making his mind. A source close to Jackson informed Panther Digest this afternoon that Jackson has committed to Pittsburgh.

Jackson came down to Pitt for an unofficial visit on Sunday, where he worked out once again for the Pitt coaching staff. Unofficially, he ran a 4.46, good enough to earn the offer.

He is coming off a productive 2013 season, where he burst on the scene with over 2,000 yards of total offense, playing as a dual-threat quarterback. He will come to Pitt on defense, as a cornerback.

This could be the first good news of the day for Pitt, as Timber Creek (NJ) standout Neal Nelson is announcing his college decision at 2:30 this afternoon. He is expected to decide between Pitt and Central Florida.

Stay tuned for more on Jackson's commitment to Pitt.
