Patterson Selected 48th Overall By The Bucks

Lamar Patterson was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks late Thursday night. However, there have already been multiple reports of the Bucks trading him to the Atlanta Hawks.

For a second year in a row, Pittsburgh has a player taken in the annual NBA Draft.

Last year, it was Steven Adams going to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round. Thursday night, Lamar Patterson was drafted 48th overall, in the second round.

Patterson started and played in all 36 games in 2013-14, leading Pitt with 17.1 points a game. He finished with 20 or more points in 12 different games, and was a Second Team All-ACC selection.

Patterson made 102 consecutive starts, and played in 148 career games, the most by and player in school history. He is one of three players in Pitt history to finish with 1,000 career points, 500 rebounds and 400 assists.

According to multiple reports, after Patterson was drafted by the Bucks, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks. However, neither team has officially confirmed the news as of late Thursday night.
