Video: T.J. Clemmings

T.J. Clemmings has made the transformation from reserve defensive end, to offensive tackle, and now to team captain in just two years.

How does T.J. Clemmings approach his senior season? More specifically what kind of captain is he, and what can he bring to the team in a leadership role?

"I'm going to be excited, but I'm not a rah-rah kind of guy," Clemmings said. "I lead by example. I go out there and do the best that I can, and hopefully get everybody behind me."

One thing Clemmings can add, from his own personal experience, is looking back to the disappointment of two years ago, when the Panthers opened the 2012 season with a loss to FCS opponent Youngstown State.

Clemmings doesn't want to compare and contrast opponents and situations, only wanting his teammates to go out and build on the things they do on a daily basis--a businesslike approach to the game.

"We're respecting everybody," Clemmings said. "I wouldn't go back to two years ago. We'll watch film (of Delaware) and go out there, ready to do our best."
