Panthers Add Another From Ohio

Pitt now with three offensive line commits for 2015 recruiting class.

Paul Chryst is not slowing down on stocking up on offensive linemen, and he's not slowing down in Ohio, as he added Westerville (OH) South offensive lineman Rob Dowdy on Monday night.

Dowdy committed to the Panthers over offers from schools such as Miami and Michigan State. He was ranked the No. 43 overall offensive lineman in the country, a three-star prospect.

Dowdy, 6-5, 260, joins Canon McMillan's Alex Paulina and Hempfield's Tony Pilato as offensive line commits in this class. He also joins Austintown Fitch running back Darrin Hall, Kettering Archbishop Alter defensive lineman Kraig Howe and Pickerington Central's DaVon Hamilton as fellow commits from Ohio. Offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph, who's been building on previous relationships in the state of Ohio, was Dowdy's chief recruiter.

Dowdy is the 15th verbal commit of the 2015 recruiting class.
