High-upside tackle Zack Williams committed to Pitt

Pitt landed a commitment from Florida offensive lineman Zack Williams Sunday.

Zack Williams committed to Pitt Sunday, he announced on Twitter this morning. Williams, who visited this weekend, is a 6-foot-6 tackle out of North Marion High School in Saint Petersburg, Fla.

Williams is Pitt's 14th commitment in the Class of 2016 and the second offensive lineman to commit in the class, alongisde Upper St. Clair tackle Brandon Ford who offered his verbal commitment in March.

Williams is considered a project but with a great deal of upside at offensive tackle. He converted from tight end to offensive tackle just this year.

Williams also had offers from Louisville, NC State, Oregon State and West Virginia where he had scheduled an official visit for Jan. 22.
