The Pitt staff tapped into ACC territory Tuesday, offering two young studs.
Pitt offered scholarships to a pair of young standout offensive players Tuesday.
Both hail from North Stafford High School in Virginia. They are Nana Asiedu, a 6-foot-6, 260-pound offensive tackle who is a junior and Devyn Ford, a sophomore running back.
Both are Scout four-stars and their offer sheets have one thing in common: they feature some of the best schools in the country.
From Scout.com's evaluation:
Asiedu is a long, athletic prospect. He is explosive off the edge and disruptive. Asiedu can get to the second level, and he does a good job with his initial punch. He is athletic and can cover the edge against a speed a rusher, an he gets is pad level low and can drive block. He has the athleticism to be able to pull from the tackle position. He needs to continue to improve strength and technique, but he is on the path to becoming a very good college player. -- Brian Dohn

There is not much Ford does not do at a very high level. He is an elite talent and true all-purpose running back. Ford has tremendous vision and shows great balance. He is instinctive and anticipates well. Ford has a great combination of speed and quickness. Not only is he extremely dangerous as a runner, but he also catches the ball very well. Overall, he's tremendous football player and one of the top running backs in the country, regardless of class.
