Pittsburgh in the lead for South Florida tight end

One name that is high up on the Panthers' radar screen is South Florida tight end Brandon Ledbetter of Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. He is a 6-foot-5, 210-pound tight end that runs the forty in the 4.6 range, and is a big time target that would make any quarterback happy.

With January right around the corner Ledbetter is getting ready to go on some visits. Ledbetter finished the season with 22 catches for 470 yards and 9 touchdowns.

So where will Brandon be off to first, "I will be going to Western Michigan on the 9th, then followed by Eastern Michigan on the 16th, Rutgers on the 23rd, and will finish off with a trip to Pittsburgh."

The Panthers not only get the last visit but they are also Ledbetter's leader as well. "Right now I have the Panthers as a slight leader over Rutgers."

If he had to choose at this time the Panthers look to be in good shape. The only team that could change those plans would be the home town Miami Hurricanes. "Yeah the Hurricanes were my favorite team growing up and I would probably commit to them right now if they offered. I have not heard from them in over a month so that's why I am leaning at going out of state right now.

Coach Partridge for the Panthers has been all over the STA standout. "Yeah, coach Partridge is recruiting me the hardest along with the Rutgers staff. He wants me to come in a play tight end for the Panthers, I may also see some time at receiver as well."

"One of my coaches at Saint Thomas is also friends with coach Partridge and that is why they are one of my leaders."
