Pittsburgh Panthers To Visit With TE Prospect

Three-Star tight end prospect Brandon Ledbetter is one of the most underrated players in Florida. As a senior he dominated the competition in a competitive Broward County. This weekend the 6-foot-5 and 205 pound Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas senior will take an official visit to Pittsburgh.

"I've already visited Western Michigan and I have Pittsburgh this weekend," Ledbetter said. "It probably will come down to those two schools. When I get home on Sunday night, I'll sit down with my family and discuss things. I could make a decision on what school by Monday."

Ledbetter hasn't ruled out possible visits to Rutgers and Florida Atlantic either.

What does South Florida standout like about the Panthers?

"I've never been there before but I do know that Pittsburgh has an outstanding football team," he said. "I like that kind of education that the school has to offer also."

As a senior Ledbetter caught 22 passes for 470 yards and nine touchdowns.

He's on track to qualify with a 2.5 grade point average and a score of 17 on the ACT test.

"I would like to major in Computer Technology," he said. I" want to be a computer engineer."
