Johnny Peyton, Ready to make decision

Dade City Fla.- Pasco wide receiver Johnny Peyton originally committed to Pittsburgh but backed off the commitment due to the coach who was recruiting him leaving to take another job with another school.

In the next few days, the four-star prospect will go ahead and make his final decision among Miami, South Florida and Pittsburgh.

"I'm probably going to go ahead and make my decision sometime next week," he said.

Johnny Peyton, who took an official visit to Miami on (1/16), is most likely waiting to see if the Canes will offer him or not before deciding.

"Miami was straight," the 6-foot-4 pound standout with 4.5 40 speed said. "It was the best of all my trips. Their coaches told me that they would let me know this upcoming week about an offer. If they offer, that's where I want to go."

Peyton visited the Panthers back in late November and that trip went well.

"I really liked Pittsburgh because it's big-city atmosphere," Peyton said. "The highlight of the trip was chilling with Fitzgerald. I really liked the wide receiver coach (Brookhart) that was recruiting me but he left. I'll probably go to South Florida if Miami doesn't offer me."

As a senior he caught 39 passes for 1,008 yards and 13 touchdowns.
