Five early favorites for one of PA's best TE's

The state of Pennsylvania is heavy on excellent TE's in the class of 2005 and one of the very best has five early favorites.

Scott Uziel from Franklin Regional HS in Murrysville, PA has the size that college coaches covet for a TE at 6'4" 245, and runs an outstanding 4.75 in the 40 at that size.

"He has excellent hands, is very agile, has very good feet, and is an excellent blocker," says Franklin Regional coach Greg Botta. "He plays fullback, tight end, and inside linebacker for us, but tight end is where he will be at the next level."

Uziel says that early on he has received the most interest from Pittsburgh, Virginia, and North Carolina and has unofficially visited both Kent State and Pittsburgh.

He wants to go to the Nike Combine at Penn State plus go to the Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Michigan camps.

The local school has the advantage thus far for Uziel's service.

"My top five are Pittsburgh, Penn State, Michigan, Virginia, and Notre Dame. I probably like Pitt the best so far. My first words when I was a baby were ‘Go Pitt'," laughs Uziel.

And all five have shown serious interest.

Uziel is also an excellent student with a 3.5 GPA.
