PA's best adds major new offer

Justin King of Gateway HS in Monroeville, PA is already the runaway choice for the best player in PA for the Class of 2005. Offers have already poured in from such heavy hitters as Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, Iowa, Wisconsin, Maryland, and West Virginia. And that is not even the entire list. So which team has thrown the King race into disarray?

"USC offered me on Friday," says the 6'0" 180 pound phenom. "My top six are now Michigan, USC, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Georgia, and Penn State. The three that stand out the most right now are USC, Michigan, and Penn State."

King just returned from Pitt Junior Day, which he described as "okay", though clearly the early lack of pursuit by the Panthers is still waning on his mind.

King's teammate at Gateway, LB Mike Barlak, said the players were in the coaches' office at school when the USC offer came.

"They put it on the speaker phone," said Barlak. "We were all excited."
