John Pelusi was a starting center on Pitt's 1976 National Championship team. His son, John, Jr., grew up hearing his father's stories and being a fan of the Panthers. And he may just follow in his father's footsteps. Just not yet.
Pitt offered Pelusi
a scholarship in the past week and Pelusi was appreciative, though didn't commit.
"It came to my house in the mail," said Pelusi. "But I want to see what other schools have to offer first."
Pelusi was one of approximately 60 high school players invited to Pitt's Junior Day on Saturday and he was impressed with what he saw.
"It was nice," says Pelusi. "I had a good time."
Besides Pittsburgh, Pelusi is also hearing from Virginia, Iowa, and Notre Dame.
