Florida TE getting major interest

Glade Central HS in Belle Glade, FL has had its share of star college players over the years, including former Iowa QB Brad Banks. And the school has been a feeder system for major college football, sending multiple high major players every year to the next level. One of this year's crop is a TE/DE that is getting major attention.

Tommy Duhart has the size at 6'4" 250 pounds, the speed (4.8), and strength (350 pound bench) to get noticed not only by the in state schools but by schools as far north as Pittsburgh.

Duhart's father played college football at Florida and that makes them one of the favorites.

"I would like to stay in state," says Duhart. "But if I have to go elsewhere, that's okay, too."

Miami joins Florida as Duhart's favorite, followed by Pittsburgh, North Carolina, and North Carolina State. All have sent Duhart a lot of mail, as have many others.

While Duhart is a force from his defensive end position, also, he feels his future probably lies at tight end.

Duhart will be at the National High School All-Star Combine in Miami on Saturday and the Nike Combine later this spring.
