Where will this Eagle land?

Dayton, OH - Chaminade-Julienne head coach Jim Place has two bonafide Division-1 blue chip prospects on his squad this season. DB Brandon Harrison and RB Javon Ringer 5-10, 203, 4.4. Ringer is being hailed as possibly the best RB prospect in the state of Ohio.

In 2003 Ringer gained 2,356 yards, scored 30 touchdowns, and had an amazing yards per carry average of 10.7. Statistics like that will thrust you in the spotlight.

Does having such high expectations place added pressure on him? "No, there's no pressure. It's a compliment to be called the best back in Ohio, but it isn't real important. Coach Place always teaches and reminds us to stay humble."

Ohio State, Michigan, Pittsburgh, Iowa, and Notre Dame have been showing the most interest in Ringer. Ohio State and Michigan are leading the way for his services, with Pittsburgh, Iowa, and Notre Dame bringing up the rear. The Hawkeyes have been the only school to offer Javon so far.

"My heart is with Ohio State."

Ringer has been invited to several junior day events including Ohio State, Pittsburgh, and Michigan.

"I haven't been able to attend any of them because there have always been conflicts with my schedule."

This spring Javon will attend the Nike Combine at Ohio State. During the summer he plans on attending Ohio State and Michigan camps.
