Big East or Big Ten for PA athlete

Erie Strong Vincent head coach Tom Cacchione has at least four potential D-1 recruits on his team this season. Perhaps the most versatile of the four is WR Andre Henderson 6-0, 185, 35" vertical. Andre is getting looks for his ability as a WR. His coach feels that he is one of the best DB's in the state as well if not the entire country.

"I would not be afraid to match him up against anyone in the country, this kid can flat out cover."

Andre had 65 tackles and 6 interceptions last season, on offense he had 29 receptions, 200 yards and 9 touchdowns. Erie Strong Vincent is a predominantly run oriented offense. For his efforts Andre was named 1st Team All-Metro and 1st Team All-Conference.

Five teams have been showing Henderson the most interest - Michigan, Penn State, Purdue, Iowa, and Syracuse. His preseason list of favorites is Syracuse, Penn State, Purdue, Michigan, Iowa, and Pittsburgh. One team stands out as far as Andre is concerned.

"I like Syracuse, I have always been a fan or theirs, and Donovan McNabb has always been my favorite player."
