Justin King, most recruited player in the country?

Justin King of Gateway HS in Monroeville, PA had 10 offers in the first week of recruiting season. Included in those were Pittsburgh, Penn State, Michigan, and Ohio State. As it turns out that was just the beginning.

King has now, by his estimation, been offered by "about 26 or 27 schools". Included in that list are some serious heavyweights beyond the early offers. Lately offers have poured in from such top notch programs as USC, Notre Dame, Florida State, Texas, and Oklahoma.

King recently returned from a recent visit to Pittsburgh's spring practice and had a much better feeling about the hometown Panthers.

"They have moved into my top 10," says King, who runs the 40 in 4.29 seconds.

King says his three favorites are still Penn State, USC, and Michigan, but that, "Notre Dame and Florida State are coming on strong." King goes on to say that Pittsburgh joins Texas and Oklahoma on the second tier of schools that he is interested in.

King has been projected as a CB, a RB, and even a WR. So where do these eight schools see this prized athlete? According to King, those that want him at CB include Penn State, Michigan, USC, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma. Those that want him at RB are Pittsburgh, Oklahoma, Texas, and Florida State. King reiterated that he prefers to play cornerback.
