Tyrell Biggs Likes Pittsburgh

One of the better players in the 2005 class stated that Pittsburgh is among his top schools in his recruiting process

Tyrell Biggs, a 6-8, 260-pound power forward from Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey, made an appearance at the CYP Tournament in Port Chester, New York, playing with the Riverside Church last weekend. Biggs played a key role in the Church's run to the championship game before losing to the Gauchos, 83-70.

Tyrell was named to the All-Tournament team along with Tournament MVP Sundiata Gaines, Brian Laing, and Russell Robinson of the Gauchos, Elvis Lora of Columbus High School in the Bronx and Riverside Church, and Danny Green of St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York, and the Long Island Panthers.

Biggs led Riverside with 17 points in the championship game, and was a physical presence inside. Tyrell continues to look fit and mobile. He has exceptionally quick feet for a player of his size, and good footwork.

The high majors are definitely giving Biggs a hard look. He emphasized that he does not have a working list of schools that he is considering at this point, but mentioned Maryland, Kansas, Rutgers, Villanova, and Pittsburgh among the schools who have expressed interest. "I like Pittsburgh," said Biggs. "But I like all of the schools who have shown interest in me."

Biggs, who will play with Riverside Church this spring and summer, is unsure of which camp he will attend this summer. "I'm not sure about that yet," said Biggs. "I'm going to have to sit down with my father in the next week or so and think about that."
