PA RB receives his first offer

Sellersville, PA- Penn Ridge High School RB Ryan Greiser (6-1, 215, 4.5) has been attracting interest from Maryland, Penn State, Virginia, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Connecticut. Those schools are his favorites with no one school holding the lead. Syracuse has stepped forward and offered the very underrated RB.

During the 2003 season, Ryan Greiser had 132 carries, 1,340 yards, 16 touchdowns, and a 10.2 yards per carry average. He also excels on defense, where he chimed in with 40 tackles, 3 sacks, 8 tackles for loss and 3 Interceptions. He was named Honorable Mention Associated Press AAAA All-State, 1st team All-Area, and 1st Team All-League as a junior.

Ryan grew up a Penn State fan and was being recruited by Fran Gantner. He will be attending the Nike Combine at Penn State on May 15th and the F&B Combine at Valley Forge. Penn State hasn't been recruiting Ryan very hard.

Greiser bench presses 290 and squats 450. In the classroom he maintains a 3.7 GPA and has scored 1020 on his SATs. During the spring Greiser is a member of the Penn Ridge track team. He runs the 100 meters and 4x100 relay while also participating in the javelin and shot-put.

Syracuse offered Ryan after he took a recent visit to the campus. He was scheduled to attend Blue Chip day at the University of Pittsburgh earlier this month, but was unable to attend due to an illness.
