Penn State Nike Combine: Offensive Line

Over the next few days, Pitt Insider will attempt to give you some information on players that we had the chance to watch and evaluate at Penn State. there were over 400 athletes in attendance, so naturally we didn't get to see them all. This is our summary of the offensive lineman that we did get a chance to watch (* Denotes Underclassmen).

Jason Kacinko (6-6, 300, Penn Trafford, PA) - I saw Jason destroy the first person he faced during the 1 on 1 drills. He floored the kid and the beaten young man retreated to the trainer's table for ice packs. Jason ran a 5.31 forty, 4.63 pro agility, 25" vertical, and did 20 reps on the bench.

J.R. Robinson (6-1, 255, Penn Hills, PA) - Appears to be very undersized.

David McClain (6-5, 325, CB South, PA) - David seems to be losing weight and looks good. I was impressed for two reasons with McClain. One was the fact that he challenged and put up a fight with Marques Slocum. The second reason is the leadership he shows he was constantly urging on the other players, encouraging them the whole time.

Kevin Wiggins (6-7, 320, Dunbar, DC/MD) - Poor physique, needs to lose weight to be effective.

Nate Dade (6-5, 338, Bishop McDevitt, PA) - Athletic but needs to lose weight.

Greg Isdaner (6-4, 305, Episcopal Academy, PA) - In my eyes, he was the sleeper pick of the day. He is raw, but was consistent throughout the entire combine.

John Bachman (6-4, 253, Moon, PA) - I really like this kid. Great feet and the frame to add 25 lbs easily. Ran a 5.05 forty, 4.6 pro-agility, 27" vertical, and did 18 reps on the bench.

Dennis Landolt (6-5, 275, Holy Cross, NJ) - Ran a 4.9 forty, 4.42 pro-agility, 26" vertical, and did 21 reps. Landolt may have been the most athletic lineman at the combine.

Zach Haulman (6-3, 277, Altoona, PA) - Ran a 5.15 forty, 4.7 pro-agility, 24" vertical, and did 20 reps on the bench.

Lawrence Green (6-4, 300,McKeesport, PA) - Did 18 reps before injuring his shoulder. He sucked it up and still competed during the rest of the combine.

Kevin Boyanowski (6-4, 310, Pittston, PA) - Looked small in the upper body.

Dan Larkin (6-4, 295, Bergen Catholic, NJ) - Passed everyone's eyeball test, good physique for a near 300 lb. player.

Ryan Blaszczyk (6-5, 300, Shawnee, NJ) - Seemed to be one of the better linemen at the combine, very solid all day.
