Panthers offer Florida defender

Orlando (FL) DT Lemuel Jean-Pierre (6-4.5, 255, 4.9) of Timber Creek HS has accumulated 4 verbal offers from the likes of Pittsburgh, UCF, Northwestern, and South Carolina. He has been getting strong interest from those four along with Georgia Tech, Miami, Alabama, Auburn, Syracuse, Connecticut, and Indiana.

"The schools want to see my transcripts, some want me to attend their camps and then I'll get the written offers," said Lemuel Jean-Pierre.

Lemuel was in on 55 tackles, 7 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, and forced 2 fumbles, last season. He was named to the All-Friday Night Football Team by a local radio station, 1st team All-District, and 1st team All-Orange County. He participated in the Nike Combine at Miami and a one-day camp at Central Florida. Lemuel is versatile and has the strength, size, and speed, to play either tackle or end on defense.

Location will not be an issue for Jean-Pierre. He has seen it all.

"I was born in Louisiana. I lived for awhile in Minnesota and have been here in Florida the rest of the time."

Early favorites for Lemuel are LSU, Miami, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, Georgia Tech, and Florida. The big man is a decent hoops player as well, averaging 10.2 PPG and 7 RPG for Timber Creek. He is currently playing AAU basketball and recently took part in the Spring Classic at Disney. Unfortunately, his team lost to the Nike-Florida representative.
