Another Harrisburg back interested in Pitt

Last season, Eric Brickus (6-1, 200, 4.6) was the featured back at Central Dauphin East High School (Harrisburg, PA), where he managed to rush for 840 yards and 11 touchdowns. Showing his versatility, he ran 3 kickoffs back for scores as well. This year, Brickus, along with two teammates, has transferred to Harrisburg High School where he will be the lead blocker for one of the states best backs, Mikell Simpson.

Eric Brickus currently has offers from Connecticut, Indiana, and Michigan State. Penn State. UCLA, and West Virginia have shown a lot of interest as of late and may be close to offering. Penn State, Pittsburgh, and Temple are three schools that interest Brickus.

"I'm not trying to go real far from home. So the three schools in state, if they were to offer, I'd definitely be interested," said Brickus.

What would you consider to be your strengths?

"Everything. I can run, block, and catch the ball. I am an all-around type of back."

Are there any areas you feel need improvement?

"I need to get better at picking up blitzes."

Your former team, Central Dauphin East, is on the Harrisburg schedule this season. Are you looking forward to that?

"Definitely. I can't wait to play those guys."

Brickus will be going to camp at Michigan, and his entire team will attend camp at Penn State.
