While Pittsburgh Panther fans wait out the decision by Jeff Adrien, currently finishing up his official visit, Jamie Dixon's program is still very busy in setting up official visits and in home visits with the top prospects from the 2005 class.
Among the prospects being eyed with some intensity is Danny Green
, a 6-foot-5 guard/forward from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, New York. First there is a chance Green will join friends Levance Fields
and John Garcia
on a trip to St. John's tomorrow. Both Fields and Garcia have already mentioned interest in Pittsburgh
too. "Danny has already been invited to Midnight Madness to North Carolina
," Danny, Sr. said. "So I plan on going with him on that trip."
In addition, Green will visit Pittsburgh on September 16th. It's likely Danny's family will also take the trip with the outstanding swingman who played for the New York Panthers this past summer.
"Pittsburgh is also coming in for an in home visit in early September," Green, Sr. said. "St. John's is also coming in too in early September. Connecticut is being set up today and Georgia Tech and North Carolina State are interested too."
There may be more official visits too set up in the near future. "All the schools are being considered," Mr. Green said. "North Carolina and Pittsburgh are set up right now."
