"One of my close friends went to Pitt," Williams said. "I like Pitt because of the atmosphere and the whole campus. Their program is a top notch program and they have good coaches. Coach Walt Harris. So, I think that would be a good choice for me if they offered.
Williams, a 6-foot 192-pound senior from Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY), is having a great final year. Through four games, he already has 23 receptions for 362 yards and nine touchdowns. This is coming off a season in which he had 57 passes for 927 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Williams - widely considered the No. 2 WR prospect in Central New York - already has offers from New Hampshire, Ohio,
Akron and Buffalo. If he had to pick between these schools, he'd pick New Hampshire.
"Good location, it's not too far from home," Williams said. "I love the coaches, they love me. I met a lot of the coaches and they're really excited about me."
Other schools showing interest are Syracuse, Indiana, Maryland and Wisconsin. Although he has not scheduled any official visits, he plans on taking visits to Pittsburgh, New Hampshire and Villanova.
