Anxious to take one more official visit

One of the top point guards in the 2005 class is currently considering taking an official visit to the University of Pittsburgh.

After his team dropped a tough 83-78 loss to the Playaz younger team (features top 20 recruits Gerald Henderson and Wayne Ellington), Fields told SteelCitySports that he is anxious to take one more official visit -- to Pittsburgh.

Fields, the very talented lead guard from Xaverian High School in Brooklyn, New York, played today for Starrett City in the IS8 playoffs. His team fell short despite an outstanding effort. Fields scored 22 points and dished out seven assists against an even more talented Playaz Basketball Club.

Fields dominated the second quarter for his team, pushing Starrett City to a 41-38 half-time lead. The Playaz gained an advantage by a point heading into the fourth quarter. But there was just too much talent on the Playaz to overcome for Fields, who had four three-pointers in the game.

Fields was the last player to leave the bench after his team lost. He sat with his head down for several minutes and then just stared away for many more minutes.

Levance is one of the top competitors in the 2005 class and certainly one of the best point guards too. He recently took a visit to St. John's. "I really enjoyed the visit," Fields said. "I learned a lot about the school. I liked meeting the coaches and players. I had a good time."

Fields also said he is likely to take one more official visit. "I am planning to visit Pittsburgh," Fields said. "It will probably be next weekend. I have to talk to the coaches there to set it up."

Fields also said it's likely he will choose between St. John's and Pittsburgh. South Florida is not on his list anymore, according to Fields.
