According to the Baldwin (Pa.) school district website fullback/linebacker Chris Bova has announced his decision to accept an invitation to be a preferred walk-on at the University of Pittsburgh.
Bova, 5-11 and 245 pounds, attended Pittsburgh's summer camp. He also
attended the Nike Combine at Penn State, where he made a name for
himself by pushing out 45 reps of 185 pounds on the bench.
He has played fullback and linebacker for the Fighting Highlanders. At
Pittsburgh, Bova could develop into a defensive tackle, or possibly get
a shot at fullback.
Bova earned All-Conference Quad East honors as a junior and again as a
senior. He sat out his sophomore season due to a back injury. Bova
carries a 3.2 GPA and has scored 1090 on the SAT.
