5-Star Harris Down to Two

Paul Harris, a tremendously gifted and hard-working guard from the GC Ballers, should be making a college decision in the near future. Harris, a 6-4, 225-pound tank, is big and strong.

Paul scored 17 points to lead the Ballers to a 77-67 victory over South Carolina Celtics in a Sweet 16 playoff game at the Bob Gibbons' Tournament of Champions.

The game was held inside the Dean Dome on the campus of North Carolina. Harris is considered one of the top players in the 2006 class. He is currently considering Pittsburgh and Syracuse.

Harris stated he is likely to make a decision between Pittsburgh and Syracuse in the next few weeks.

"It's really close between Syracuse and Pitt," said Harris. "I want to play in the Big East and they are both close to home.

"I am going to take official visits to both of those schools. I plan on visiting Pittsburgh this Wednesday and Syracuse Friday and Saturday."

Then Harris said he plans on making a decision between the two Big East rivals. "Within a week or two after that I could decide," Harris said.

"I like Syracuse the way they run and I like Pittsburgh the way they play defense," Harris said. "So it's up in the air.

"It's going to be close," added Harris.

Paul said he will attend prep school. The schools being considered are Laurinburg (NC), South Kent (CT), and Notre Dame Prep (MA).
