Pitt Among Twelve

The state of Florida is packed with wide receiver prospects that Pittsburgh has been recruiting. Chief among them could be in Pahokee (Fla.) where Pitt is recruiting a pair of speedsters. We take a look at the second part of the tandom.

"I've got 12 of 'em, right now," Tamarcus Porters said, "I don't remember all of them, but I know Pitt offered. North Carolina, West Virginia, Boston College, Iowa. There are more, but I can't remember."

As a junior at Royal Palm Beach High last season, Porter finished the season with 11 catches for 122 yards on offense, while adding over 400 return yards and two touchdowns on returns. Defensively, he contributed 50 tackles, 10 pass break ups, and six interceptions.

"I like Miami (Fla.) a lot cause, you know, I'd like to stay close to here (Pahokee)," Porters said. "I haven't gotten an offer yet, but I went to their camp and they sound like they really like me a lot."

Porters stars with Ricky Gary, another standout that the Panthers have extended an offer too. "Ricky makes me better and I make Ricky better. We go at each other every day and it definitely helps."

Could we see the tandom move to college?

"We'll just have to wait and see," Porters said, "We've got some of the same schools on our list and alot of schools are recruiting us both. We'll just have to see."
