NY LB Visits Pitt

Pittsburgh got a headstart on the recruitment of Syracuse (NY) native Greg Hadley. Get more news on the unofficial visit from the Christian Brothers Academy star linebacker.

After a stellar junior season that saw him total 101 tackles and 2 interceptions, Syracuse (NY) native and Christian Brothers Academy star Greg Hadley is hoping to reap the benefits.

"I'm looking for a school with a great tradition and great coaches," Hadley told Scout.com. "I also want a school that provides a great learning experience for me."

Hadley's big junior season was well documented in the greater New York area, but he was overshadowed at times in comparison to highly recruited Greg Paulus, Lavar Lobdell, Bruce Williams and this year's phenom, McKenzie Matthews.

"I'm getting interest from Syracuse, West Point (Army), Navy, Bucknell, Maryland, Kent State, UConn, Pittsburgh and Michigan State."

Hadley recently returned from a weekend visit to Pittsburgh.

"It was great," Hadley said about the visit, "We got to see Heinz Stadium and the practice facilities. It was overall a great experience for me."

Despite his small frame, Hadley is still being pursued as an outside linebacker in college. Hadley says he prefers the position in comparison to other spots, because he can showcase his abilities beter.

"I combine a lot of speed with aggressiveness," Hadley stated. "In the open field, I'm very hard to block. I hustle from sideline to sideline. I'm always around the ball, no matter what."
