"Coach Gutekunst wants to see me as safety," Zug said. "I also plan to stop and see Richmond, Duke, and NC State if I have time this weekend too."
As a junior, Zug starred for Manheim Central on both sides of the ball, garnering 51 catches for 799 yds and 13 TDs, while also finishing towards the top defensively, making 78 tackles and adding 6 interceptions (including one for a touchdown).
"I'm feeling real comfortable right now with things," Zug said confidently, "I want to focus on getting even stronger and faster for my senior year, then deal with a decision on college after that. I'm glad I visited and will camp at as many places as I have. I'm pleased with my speed and yards after catch so far this spring, and feel real confident. I had about 15 touchdown receptions and three interceptions in 4-game 7-on-7 last week."
Zug is hoping to catch some attention after the summer camp schedule heats up.
"Other camps coming up are Maryland, Penn State, Delaware, Boston College, UConn, and Syracuse; most as one day recruit," Zug added. "All have been very active contacting me, especially UNC, UConn, BC, Syracuse, and Delaware.
