Colerain DB/S Gone Camping

Playing alongside big time prospects Cobrani Mixon, Connor Smith and Tyler Moeller for state champion Colerain HS, cornerback Brian Lainhart could receive more significant interest now that he is back and healthy again.

The 6'0, 175 pound speedster is hoping a summer of camping might open some eyes.

"Things are going good," Brian Lainhart said about his recruitment process. "I just went to Louisville camp and did really well. I'm supposed to call them in a couple days to see what's going on about my status with them."

The Cardinals aren't the only school that have taken notice, either, as Lainhart hopes to secure some offers before heading to Ohio State and Michigan camp this summer.

"New schools getting involved are Bowling Green, Penn State, Maryland, Marshall, and Minnesota," Lainhart said. "At this point I don't have any scholarship offers. I only played in the beginning of the season, then I had knee surgery and came back for the semi-final and state game (making 4 tackles against Canton McKinney in the state championship game)."

The Cincinnati (OH) native already has a list of favorites. "My favorites as of now would have to be Penn State, South Carolina, Louisville and Michigan State," Lainhart said. "I would like to hear more from Louisville, because I really like their school."
