Pitt Eyes NY OL

The Panthers have been hard on the heels of several offensive lineman to date. One name that has been relatively quiet on the recruiting front is Eric Olsen, a 6-foot-5, 300 pound offensive lineman from Staten Island, NY. Get the lates

At the end of the day, you cannot teach 6-5, 300-pounds. That is the current size of Eric Olsen, OL, Staten Island, N.Y., (Poly Prep).

"I'm open to all of them," Olsen said of which schools he liked. "I'm trying to narrow it down to five by the end of August or September."

Olsen certainly has a lot of options to choose from.

"Some of the bigger ones (that have offered) are Miami, Notre Dame, Boston College, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and Pittsburgh," Olsen said. "My coach told me that Tennessee and Penn State are close to offering so hopefully they will too."

Olsen is not picky when it comes to the position he plays at the college level, and that will certainly make college coaches happy.

"Wherever they want to play me," Olsen said of his college position. "Whatever position I can get on the field the fastest."
