Berry Makes Visit to Pitt

Considered one of the top remaining prospects still left on Pittsburgh's recruiting board, Bishop McDevitt's Aaron Berry unofficially visited Pittsburgh over the weekend. Find out what the talented prospect thought about his trip.

"I had a great time," Aaron Berry said of his weekend visit to Pittsburgh. "Coach Wannstedt wanted to show us the practice facility and the stadium. Both of them were top of the line. They also showed us the basketball stadium and around campus."

In 2004, Berry missed five games with a separated shoulder, yet still managed to make 40 receptions for 999 yards and 11 touchdowns. On defense he intercepted five passes. Berry was named first-team All-Conference (Mid-Penn).

Although Berry maintains that he'll make his top five public in a week or so, he did state that Pittsburgh was, "Definitely one of my top choices. I like a lot of things about Pitt."

Berry recently visited Virginia Tech with his teammte LaSean McCoy. According to Berry, they are among the schools under consideration.

"Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Va. Tech, Pitt - their are a lot of schools under consideration," stated Berry. "I'll have a top five sometime this week or next week. We'll just see how everything falls in line."

One thing that has stood out for Berry, his desire to find the right situation for him, not only academically, but playing time, as well.

"I'll be looking at the depth charts," Berry insisted. "I'd like to go in and play early. I feel like I have the potential to get an early start. I wanna find a school that can also provide me a chance to graduate. Academics has to be really high up there. And I need a coaching staff that can get me to the next level."
