Despite the rumors, Pittsburgh has won a recruiting battle for one of the most highly recruited prospects to ever come out of the Rochester, N.Y. area in Kevin Collier. Collier is an elite type of running back. Scout.com spoke to Collier's head coach recently to find out the latest on his star pupil.
Wednesday night, we spoke with Churchville-Chili Head Coach Paul Dick about his star running back Kevin Collier
. Dick informed us that Kevin is still very solid in his commitment to Pittsburgh
. Collier did take in a game at Syracuse
, but according to Coach Paul Dick that's as far as it went.
"His commitment to Pittsburgh is solid," said Coach Paul Dick. "The people at Syracuse are good people and we respect them, but Kevin has no intentions of going anywhere but Pittsburgh."
Collier pledge remains solid despite the weekly calls from the USC's and South Carolina's of the world.
"Steve Spurrier told him he is Cadillac Williams. USC keeps calling, but Kevin never calls back."
Through seven games this season collier has tallied 1,355 yards and 13 touchdowns. The versatile collier has also returned two kickoff's for scores.
"He is 400 yards away from the section rushing record of 4,777 career yards."
